1. Prepare the Floor and the Soil Pipe

5. Set the Tank
When setting the tank, make sure that the wider rubber washer meant to sit between the reservoir, and the bowl is firm enough. Insert the smaller washers in the reservoir holes from within the tank when you are placing the bolts that will thread it to the bowl. Lower the tank gently onto the bowl guided by the shape of the holes at the back of the bowl where it is supposed to fit.
Nylon washers are necessary for the joints to avoid fastening porcelain over each other which may lead to cracking. Tighten the nuts alternating from one to the other until the tank is resting firmly on the bowl, and then connect the handle of the reservoir to the flapper chain.
